This is a tribute concert event, and includes not only performances of his greatest hits, but also rare video clips, photos and candid interviews with family, friends and co-stars.

The performance on Saturday March 24th, 2012 includes dinner and the show. Social at 6:30pm, dinner at 7pm, and the show at 8pm.
The performance on Sunday March 25th, 2012 is a matinee show only (no dinner). Show at 3pm.

Just got home! The party was fun and I think everyone in attendance had a good time. Entertainment was wonderful and much appreciated. Food was plentiful and good, and the bar was busy! All the gift baskets (16 of them) were sold and the 50/50 and lottery board went well. Many thanks from the bottom of my heart to all of you who helped out so much. Special thanks to all who brought goodies or donations!

Deadline for Submission is Friday, January 27, 2012

The inaugural Gasparilla Music Festival will take place the weekend of March 10th and 11th with a wide variety of bands playing in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown Tampa. Subject matter is open, but the committee asks that the theme is music-based.

GMF will present a diverse array of musical styles including indie rock, world music, jazz, Americana, bluegrass, blues, folk, gospel, reggae and other alternative music.

  • Poster size 24”x18” (vertical or horizontal)
  • Consider including text elements such as: “Gasparilla Music Festival”, “March 10th and 11th 2012”, www.gasparillamusicfestival.com”
  • Preferred format for submission is print-ready PDF
  • Selected designer will receive an honorarium of $200.00
  • Chosen design will appear on posters and may be incorporated into other marketing items, such as event website and flyers, and artist will be credited.
  • Selected design may be sold in a live or silent auction to benefit Gasparilla Music Festival, a nonprofit organization, and a percentage of proceeds will go back to the artist.

This Grammy Award winning entertainer has recorded 17 CDs and performed at The White House three times. A national magazine poll voted her “Best Solo Performer”, Best Acoustic Performer”, and” Best Female Entertainer”.

Her Adult/General Audience Concert is engaging, classy and fun. With a guitar, a piano, an amazing voice, great songs, and a wonderful sense of humor, Barbara Bailey Hutchison has charmed audiences across the country, and around the world for over 20 years.

Her performance is a joint fundraiser for both GBAC and Center Place. There will be appetizers and drinks before and after the concert. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at Center Place. Bring a friend.

Her exhibit is titled “Journey”. There will be an artist reception on Thursday evening, Dec 8th, 2011 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.

Diamari  was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Taking  after her dad, she loved drawing and painting since her childhood years and found her most precious inspirational delight in dreams, surroundings and everyday experiences. She studied  her bachelors of fine arts at the University of Puerto Rico.
