We are dedicated to encourage the arts and artists in our widespread community and to foster and promote as well as coordinate and nurture the arts to flourish in the greater Brandon area through cultural events, education, public awareness and networking. We encourage you to join us in these endeavors.

Membership opportunities are varied including monthly updates and invitations to all GBAC events, reminders of area arts events, and the chance to represent yourself and your talents on your directory page. Corporate and business members can have representation on our website, access to all artists in the community via the online directory, as well as publicity and advertising through GBAC events and free admission to GBAC events. Anyone with an interest in the arts is welcome to submit information for a directory listing. Sponsorship opportunities are available as well with your donations going to operations expenses and planned events as specified by you.

GBAC is pleased to announce that Anne Dalton, a lawyer for Ft. Myers, will be returning to hold another legal seminar/workshop for artists of all genres. This seminar will be held at the Bloomindale Regional Public Library starting at 1pm, and will focus on contracts and the artist.

We had a wonderful turnout for her workshop in February, and we expect a full house for this event. Stay tuned for more information!

February is GBAC’s annual Membership drive. Please consider joining or donating. We are striving to serve as a collaborative voice for all the creative people in the area and to support all artistic opportunities available in the area.

A reception for this event is scheduled for July 19th, 2012 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Center Place.

With an ecletic range of subjects, Tim’s graphite pencil drawings strive for photorealism. He is at home drawing still life, landscape or portrait. With only light and shadow to work with, contrast is what makes these drawings leap off the wall. Most of the drawings in this exhibit are 18″x24″ or larger.

This is a tribute concert event, and includes not only performances of his greatest hits, but also rare video clips, photos and candid interviews with family, friends and co-stars.

The performance on Saturday March 24th, 2012 includes dinner and the show. Social at 6:30pm, dinner at 7pm, and the show at 8pm.
The performance on Sunday March 25th, 2012 is a matinee show only (no dinner). Show at 3pm.
